::: Senbayashi Arcade :::
I visited Senbayashi Arcade today.
I have heard this arcade is like a maze and my bf was looking for chap mob phone.
So we decided to visit there to have a look around.

I didn't take any pics but we found the cheapest mob phone shop in OSAKA.

After all the excitement we sat inside a cafe and had a cup of coffee together. This cafe was nice and cozy one.

*Hiroshima Castle
*Atomic Bomb Dome + Peace Memorial Museum
*Art Museum
*Try Hiroshima Yaki (Hiroshima's local dish/savory pancake)

We went to Hiroshima castle for begining our trip for today!
We got on a tram and hopped off at the closest stop for the Castle.
We soon got to the entrance of Hiroshima Castle!

b0038810_10192512.jpg

I first saw this Eucalyptus which had been bombed that day.
b0038810_10204389.jpg
It is servived, so amazing.
This is re-builed Hiroshima Castle. It had blown away because of the bombing.

After walking around the Hiroshima Castle with Jane, we decided to go to Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum.
Tram was the way to go. We again hop into a tram and got off at the front of Atomic Bomb Dome across the road from Hiroshima Studium.

I could feel how terrible the results were which caused by A Bomb. This Dome is still there standing to remind people what happened. I was just sad and on the other hand it is so amazing that this dome is just there in the central of Hiroshima city even though everywhere else has been changed a lot, developed a lot but this building is just standing like the time had stopped at 8:15 6th of August 1945.

b0038810_10301251.jpg
After that we went to Peace Memorial Museum. Amazing thing was they charge so much to see everywhere but not here. We only paid 50yen which is like 50 cents to get in to this museum. I guess they don't want to make money for the addmissions, they probably wanted to show lots of people what was happened then.
b0038810_1034286.jpg

Little girl Sadako had experienced A Bomb when she was only 2. She grew up fine until when she turned to 10 but got ill because of the after effect of A Bomb and died when she was only 11. She made little paper clanes one by one by hoping her life will be last. Her statue is standing in the Peace Memorial Park with lots of clane's around that statue.

This is the trace of Black rain which fell after the bombing and killed more after the bombing.

Jane and I were sad after visiting memorial museum. I felt guilty but we are living nature, we were hungry after...
Jane and I walked toward the shopping mall and found lovely cafe and went in. Well it was only the looks, we ordered white choc mocha but it didn't taste like it at all and the waitress was just terrible...

We needed to change our mood after so we decided to go and visit famous Japanese garden called "Shukkeien." We paid 250yen to get in and walked around the pond about 1 hour. It was really beautiful day for walking and enjoying a garden.

b0038810_1053273.jpg
We went to Art Museum which is standing right next to the garden.
This horse had such an agly face.
b0038810_10522035.jpgb0038810_10523376.jpg
I found nothing interesting to go inside the art museum there because of the exhibition they had was about the carpet... So we decided to go to the other art museum near Hiroshima Castle and they had Rey Camoy's exhibition. It was wonderful! I really enjoyed his work.
Now, now, until then we only had coffee so we decided to go and get something to eat. I asked the local people and they say Micchan serves the best Hiroshimayaki. Well that's where we went.
b0038810_1054209.jpg
b0038810_10543880.jpg
After eating nice Hiroshima yaki, we headoff to Miyajima again. It was wonderful to have a look at night view of that gate.
b0038810_1055524.jpg
On the way to the hotel we decided to go to A Bomb Dome at night. We took few shots there where it had light up.
b0038810_1058240.jpg
We finally got back to the hotel after 10pm. You know what happened after, yes same thing as yesterday. We slept like a log...

::: Hiroshima Day 1 :::

We left Nanba with JR Long distance bus at 11:50pm on the 18th, then got to Hiroshima Bus Station on the next day at 6am.

Off course we did not see anyone at all.It was too early to walk around for anybody... Well the hotel we have booked is supposed to be about 10 minutes walk from where we were. Jane and I booked a twin room at business hotel called Confort Hotel. The reason was simple. It was reasonable and also included all you can eat breakie everymorning!!!
Well, we head off to the hotel asking at the convinience store staff on the way, and got there before 7am. We were lucky to drop our baggage at the hotel before check in time.

We planned the day trip to Miyajima today.
Miyajima is the best third look out place in Japan(well actually in Autum is very famouse with all the coloured maple leaves,) and we were so happy to be there.
But the thing is we didn't know how to get there. So we asked at the front desk at the hotel. The lady who was working there was nice to tell us everythig below.

*They have tram in Hiroshima
*We can get there by using a Tram and a Ferry.
*Tram is cheap to transport.

↑↓well, It was all about tram wasn't it.

Anyway, the price were as follows for the ticket.

One day pass: Tram + Miyajima Ferry = 840Yen
Two day pass: Tram + Miyajima Ferry + Miyajima Ropeway = 2000yen

We were not to stingy for the transport. We decided to get 2 day pass.

We were not sure how long it takes to look around Miyajima, but the hotel staff told us it takes at least 2 hours to have a look around Miyajima and takes at least one hour to get there by tram.
We were thinking to go there in the afternoon but by listening what she said to us, we decided to go there in the morning and stay all day there.

Well, first thing first.
We had breakie first.
Am I eating too much???

b0038810_23183741.jpg

Let's go to MIYAJIMA!!!!
It was first time to catch the tram for me.
Inside was the same as the train.

b0038810_23194633.jpgb0038810_2320233.jpg

Jane

Finally we got to Miyajimaguchi where the last stop on the tram.
The ferry port was just there!
Jane and I took the ferry to MIYAJIMA where Itsukushima Shrine was.

This is the view from the ferry.

b0038810_23213112.jpg

First thing which caught our sight was deers.

b0038810_23242763.jpg

We were't expected deers were around, so we took heaps of photos but finally got to the point that deers' everywhere there.
I saw one deer wondering inside the fense of police box finding the way out. I guess deers were not really...you know.

Well, well we walked toward Itsukushima Shrine and able to see that RED GATE.
We have seen this in the posters, postcards and TV ads.
Jane and I started saying that we go "Where the Red Gate on the water" about 6months ago. And we finally did it.
Here we are! We took photos with excitement.

b0038810_23261250.jpgb0038810_23262646.jpg

We went inside of Itsukushima Shrine. Admission fee was 300yen.
They were still doing up for the area where typhoon washed away.
I heard that they had bad typhoon few years ago.

b0038810_23301236.jpg
b0038810_23302373.jpg
b0038810_23304089.jpg

It was just so buautiful and breath taking.

We spent some time at Itsukushima Shrine then decided to take rope way to the top.

b0038810_23331036.jpg

We took a walk towards rope way station, then took it to the top.
When we got there, we saw a sign there is a path to the top point of the mountain and takes about 30 minutes to get there. So we did. It took us 1 hour to return. The view on the way to the top was jus amazing.
b0038810_23354918.jpgb0038810_2336294.jpg

There was a shrine on the way and I took this picture because the wishing board designed a shape of Daruma were cute.

b0038810_23364693.jpg

We reached to the top and saw 2 cherry blossoms there and fully bloomed.
b0038810_2341269.jpg

Jane and I were kind of planning to eat something at the restaurant at the top. But it was just the Kiosk not even restaurant.
So we left there after taking pictures and leaving deers eating cherry blossoms pink flowers on the ground. We walked back to the Ropeway Station, we went down straight to the bottom of Miyajima.

When we reached Itsukushima Shrine in the afternoon, the tide was low as.
b0038810_2342310.jpg

Jane
Jane

Well unfortunately the batteries of my camera went flat after taking this picture. So Jane took more photos after this.
And we stayed there until the tide really goes away...
It is simple. Jane started to say "Let's touch the gate! I don't got back until I touch it."
You know how things go with her....

So we stayed there until 5pm ish walking around Miyajima and finally the tide was low enough to touch the gate after that.
I enjoyed staying there all day just time went really slowly and could refresh my feeling and body washed purely by being at spiritual and peaceful place.

We finally got back to Hiroshima city about 7pm ish. Back to the hotel, had shower and went out to eat dinner.
We came all the way to hiroshima and ate Bikkuri Donky it is reasonable stake house. After going back to the hotel from dinner. you know the results, we slept like a log.
PS

Anyway me and my BF went out for Sannomiya today to have nice lunch together at Fisherman's market in Habor Land.
